This little 00028 Modern Deluxe is like a turbocharged 000. It has the torrefied sitka top, original titanium truss rod, maple binding, gold evo frets, gold waverly tuners, abalone Martin insiginia on the headstock, carbon fiber bridgplate, sleek playing neck, liquid metal bridgpins (waverly bone bridgepins are in the pictures because I prefer them, but the original white with red dots liquidmetal pins are included and work great). This one also comes with a K&K mini pickup installed with a sweet matching gold jack.

It sounds and plays beautifully and is clearly a "good one". Some might call the condition excellent, but it does have some minor signs of playwear. There are no cracks or finish checks or any issues. The playing action and overall setup is perfect. It is currently strung with D'Addario XS 12-53's and is bright and clear hen needed, dark and lovely when colored by picking cloder to the fretboard.

I've had three other modern deluxe Martins (D28, OM28, 00042) and they've all been excellent guitars. In my opinion this is the best value you get in a Martin. The next step would be towards authentics or vintage instruments, and it's a big step.
