Made in 2013. The American Vintage guitars of this era are so good; many people consider them to rival Custom Shop Jaguars. This is based on a 1965 Jaguar with bound neck and dot inlays, medium neck profile.

This guitar is equipped with Mastery Bridge and Vibrato with UFO tip and Novak’s amazing pickups. I am willing to keep the Mastery Bridge and Vibrato if you don’t want them - there is a second listing for this guitar in my Reverb Shop which excludes the Mastery Bridge and Vibrato, at a lower price.

This Jaguar has never been abused but is showing some signs of aging. The American Vintage guitars are known for having a very thin and somewhat delicate nitro finish. I tried to capture numerous areas of fine checking as well as small scratches and dings. The nitro is also yellowing some. There are parts of the guitar that are becoming slightly green where it is blue and the binding has yellowed a little. This fine instrument is aging gracefully!

The playability is great and the tuning and intonation solid, thanks to the Mastery. The upper switch can be fussy. It may take a few attempts to get it in a position where there is a strong signal. I have navigated this for years but if I gigged the guitar, I would inspect and possibly replace it for something that worked reliably.
