The MXR M291 Dyna Comp Mini is a compact, pedalboard-friendly version of the legendary 1970s Dyna Comp compressor. It packs the classic analog "squish" and long sustain into a chassis nearly half the size of the original. Built around the rare, vintage-correct CA3080 "metal can" integrated circuit (IC), it delivers a quieter noise floor, greater transparency, and higher dynamic range than the standard modern enclosure.
Key Features & Specifications
- Enclosure Size: True mini pedal format to optimize crowded pedalboard space.
- Control Layout: Classic Output (controls volume ceiling and makeup gain) and Sensitivity knobs (sets the compression level/length of sustain).
- All-New Attack Switch: A dedicated toggle button that lets you switch between a fast, aggressive modern attack or a slower, more natural vintage transient response.
- True Bypass Switching: Keeps your dry guitar tone completely unaffected when the pedal is turned off.
- Power Requirements: 9V DC negative center power supply (draws just 4 mA; battery operation is not supported due to the mini size)
This pedal is in great shape and is fully functional. Comes whit the original box. Velcro on the bottom makes it ready to go on your pedalboard!
