Offered here is an exceptionally rare 2018 Martin D-45 John Mayer Custom Signature Edition, presented in Mint, collector-grade condition.

Created through Martin's Custom Shop in collaboration with John Mayer, the D-45 John Mayer was limited to just 45 guitars worldwide, making it one of the rarest and most collectible Martin/John Mayer collaborations.

This is a right-handed example and remains in Mint condition. I purchased this exact guitar through Reverb from its previous owner, who described it as unplayed and only removed from its case for photographs. It has remained carefully preserved in my personal collection since my purchase.

One of the most important collector features is the guitar's original numbered interior label personally signed by John Mayer.

The D-45 John Mayer was introduced in 2018 as Mayer's fifth signature collaboration with Martin and was designed with his direct involvement. Rather than simply modifying the cosmetics of a standard D-45, Martin created a distinctive specification centered around an Engelmann spruce top and Guatemalan rosewood back and sides.

The guitar features forward-shifted bracing, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, a Full Thickness neck profile, and the elaborate appointments expected from Martin's flagship Style 45 instruments.

Visually, the guitar is spectacular, with extensive Style 45 abalone inlay, grained ivoroid binding, abalone rosette and body appointments, Style 45 fingerboard inlays, an abalone C.F. Martin headstock logo and gold open-gear tuners.
