Larrivee DV-40 Solid Spruce Mahogany Legacy Guitar

Larrivee DV-40 Solid Spruce Mahogany Legacy Guitar

This DV-40 presents a balanced, responsive instrument with a neck that settles naturally under the hand and a body engineered to react to every dynamic in your playing. The solid spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides produces a warm, articulate voice with strong projection and sustain—blending brightness with woody richness that translates equally well to aggressive strumming and fingerstyle work. Built for serious players across folk, Americana, singer-songwriter styles, and beyond, this guitar rewards refined technique with an organic tonal character that invites repeated use.

Tone & Resonance

The solid spruce top combined with mahogany back and sides creates a naturally warm palette with excellent definition across the frequency range. This tonal pairing delivers clarity on both single notes and full chord voicings, maintaining intimacy in fingerstyle passages while sustaining projection in ensemble or live contexts.

Playability & Build

The Legacy series design emphasizes ergonomic comfort and responsive construction, with a neck profile that accommodates extended playing sessions without fatigue. The body geometry and internal bracing work together to translate finger movement into articulate, musical output across dynamic range.
