Gretsch G5700 Tobacco [-] (10/05)

A lap steel model that captivates with its retro look and unique, ethereal sound

The Gretsch G5700 features a simple design that makes it easy to enjoy the smooth glide technique and rich sustain unique to lap steel guitars. In addition to the stable tone provided by its solid-body construction, the tone produced by the single-coil pickup?which offers an excellent balance of richness and clarity?is well-suited not only for Hawaiian and country music but also for ambient and rock styles.

Its custom design?combining a flat fingerboard with a slightly higher string action?makes pitch control with the slide bar easy, making it an ideal entry-level wrap-steel guitar. The distinctive position marks and color scheme, along with Gretschfs signature vintage-inspired design, will surely appeal to collectors.

This model is recommended for players who want to add depth to their sound with an approach thatfs a cut above standard guitars.
