GIBSON 1970s Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top Conversion [624326] (10/05)
A Gibson 1970s Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top Conversion has arrived!
Since the exact model year cannot be determined due to numerous part replacements, we have labeled it as g70s.h
Based on the serial number and specifications, this guitar is believed to have been manufactured around 1973?75.
It features a gpancakeh body?mahogany sandwiched between maple?with a maple top and a three-piece mahogany neck with a volute, a wood configuration typical of early f70s Gibsons.
The headstock logo also features a closed gOh with a dot over the gi,h which is typical of this period.
Both pickups have been replaced from the original mini-humbuckers, and the cavities have been enlarged and the wood reinforced.
The front pickup is a humbucker of unknown specifications, while the rear pickup is a 1979 gstamped numbered PAF.h
By configuring it as a two-humbucker setup, similar to the Standard model, it produces a more powerful tone rich in midrange.
The frets and nut appear to be original, but nearly all other parts?including metal and plastic components, as well as the electronics?have been replaced.
The pickguard is missing.
Overall, there is discoloration, weather checking, and scratches and dents from use, but the guitar exudes a commanding presence and has a truly vintage feel.
Although many parts have been replaced, the mature, vintage-style tone pairs well with the humbuckers, making this a guitar we highly recommend to players.
Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity.
