Fender Japan JB62M-58 Black [MIJ N041793] (10/05)
A medium-scale jazz bass that combines playability with a classic sound
Among the JB62 series from Fender Japan?based on the f62 specification?this model features a medium scale for exceptional playability. The moderately soft string tension characteristic of the approximately 32-inch scale makes it ideal for players with smaller hands or those switching from guitar, ensuring a smooth playing experience.
Featuring a classic configuration of an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, itfs equipped with two single-coil pickups. It covers a wide range of tones?from the rich, rounded sound of the front pickup to the clear, projecting sound of the rear pickup, and a well-balanced, quintessentially Jazz Bass tone when mixed.
Combining a classic look, the reliable craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made instruments, and excellent playability, this is a highly practical instrument.
There are signs of use, such as scratches, dents, and some discoloration on the parts.
Since the pickguard was missing upon arrival, we had a new one custom-made and installed it.
There was wear in the low to mid positions, and the neck was slightly raised, so we have performed a neck leveling.
There are no issues with the current playability.
