BOSS VG-800 V-Guitar Processor – Guitar/Bass Modeling, Alternate Tunings & Serial GK

Selling my BOSS VG-800 V-Guitar Processor. Extremely powerful system for anyone wanting to go far beyond a normal multi-effects/modeling setup.

The VG-800 uses BOSS’s Serial GK system to process each string independently, allowing for instrument modeling, alternate tunings, individual string pitch changes, guitar-to-bass sounds, acoustic and 12-string modeling, synth-style sounds, and much more without physically retuning the instrument.

One of the coolest parts of the VG-800 is how deep you can take the individual-string processing. You can create custom tunings, pan strings independently, split different modeled instruments across different strings, layer two modeled instruments together, or combine the modeled signal with your guitar’s normal pickups.

It also works as a full guitar/bass processor with amp modeling and a large effects section, so it can function as the centerpiece of a complete rig rather than only as a specialty modeling unit.

Features include:

• BOSS V-Guitar instrument modeling
• Dedicated guitar and bass modes
• Electric, acoustic, bass, synth and experimental modeled instruments
• Dual Guitar / Dual Bass modeling
• Instant alternate tunings without changing string tension
• Independent processing and pitch control for each string
• Over 150 effects
• Amp and cabinet modeling
• Stereo effects loop
• USB audio/MIDI interface
• Guitar-to-MIDI capability
• BOSS Tone Studio compatibility
• GK IN and GK OUT for expanding a Serial GK setup
• Can interface with systems such as the BOSS GM-800
• Compact pedalboard-friendly size

This is one of the most interesting pieces of guitar technology BOSS has made in years, especially if you like alternate tunings, extended-range sounds, guitar synthesis, unusual layered instruments, or building sounds that simply aren’t possible from a conventional guitar rig.

I’m selling it because I’m simplifying/changing my setup rather than because of any issue with the unit.
