For sale is a 1986 Fender Telecaster, MIJ from the highly regarded early period of Fender Japan production.

This particular guitar is in beautiful condition, especially for an instrument approaching 40 years old. It has been exceptionally well preserved and presents extremely cleanly, with only minimal signs of age and use. The finish, hardware and plastics all look fantastic, making this a particularly attractive example for both playing and collecting.

The guitar was originally purchased from the US, and was subsequently brought back to the UK.

The guitar features a traditional Telecaster-style body, bolt-on maple neck and fingerboard, 25.5" scale length, two Telecaster single-coil pickups, three-way pickup selector, master volume and tone controls, and the classic Telecaster bridge and control layout.

The original Telecaster ashtray bridge cover is included, which is a particularly nice addition and makes this an even more complete package.

The guitar is in great overall condition, with only minimal signs of age and use commensurate with a nearly 40-year-old instrument. Please study all photographs carefully, as these form part of the description.

A fantastic opportunity to own a beautifully preserved 1980s Japanese Fender Telecaster, complete with its original ashtray and with provenance from a respected American vintage guitar dealer.
