A unique and increasingly collectible 1982 Fender Japan JV TL69-75 Pink Paisley Telecaster, serial number JV1XXXX
This is an early JV-series Fender Japan instrument, produced at the Fujigen factory during the first generation of Fender Japan production. The TL69-75 was Fender Japan's recreation of the iconic late-1960s Pink Paisley Telecaster, and the early JV examples are particularly sought after by collectors.
The guitar is in great vintage condition, with some honest signs of use accumulated over its 40+ years. There are various knocks, chips, scratches and areas of wear around the body edges and finish, which are all shown clearly in the photographs. The paisley finish itself remains particularly striking, with the original pattern showing beautifully through the transparent finish.
Importantly, this is genuine vintage wear rather than an artificially reliced instrument. The wear gives the guitar considerable character and is exactly what you would expect from a well-played early-1980s instrument. The neck, fingerboard, hardware and electronics are all in keeping with the guitar's period.
The early JV Fender Japan instruments have developed a strong following among Fender collectors, representing the first generation of Japanese-made Fender instruments. The quality of these early Fujigen guitars is one of the reasons the JV series has become so well regarded.
The TL69-75 is particularly distinctive because of its faithful recreation of the famous 1968–69 Pink Paisley Telecaster, one of Fender's most recognisable and unusual finishes. This is a great opportunity to acquire a genuine early-JV Pink Paisley Telecaster, rather than one of the much later Fender Japan reissues.
