Extremely high-spec 2023 Kiesel A2 custom build featuring a Buckeye Burl top with Kiesel’s Aqua Metal Flake Infused Artist treatment, roasted flamed maple neck and fingerboard, matching Buckeye Burl/metal-flake headstock, gold hardware and abalone appointments.

This was a $5,384 custom build before shipping ($5,424 total invoice) and is one of the more elaborate A2 builds I’ve seen. I am the original owner and have the original Kiesel build sheet/invoice, which is pictured in the listing.

The centerpiece is the Buckeye Burl top combined with Kiesel’s Metal Flake Infused Artist treatment in Aqua. Rather than covering the burl, the metal-flake sections fill and accent the natural voids and figuring in the wood, so the aqua/green sparkle changes dramatically depending on the light. The same treatment continues onto the matching Buckeye Burl headstock.

The neck is especially striking as well: roasted flamed maple with a tung-oiled back, paired with a roasted flamed maple fingerboard, stainless-steel jumbo frets and abalone dot inlays.

The combination of the natural Buckeye Burl, aqua metal flake, abalone and gold hardware is difficult to capture completely in photographs—the metal flake really comes alive as the guitar moves under the light.

The guitar plays beautifully and the Beryllium humbuckers are extremely versatile, from articulate cleans through high-gain tones. The A2 body also provides excellent upper-fret access.
