Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress V1 – 1978, EH-1318

A very early Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress Flanger/Filter Matrix, dating from the first generation of the pedal.

This is the original EH-1318 PCB version, which identifies it as an early V1 model. The unit also has period CTS potentiometers, including components dated from 1977, consistent with an early-production example.

The pedal is fully functional, with all controls and functions working as they should. It has some of the natural background noise associated with these early analog Electric Mistress units, but this does not affect its operation or the sound of the effect.

The unit retains its original vintage construction, including the original transformer and early-style wiring. There are some signs of age and previous work to the power wiring, including an insulated connection, which can be seen in the photos. I have intentionally left the pedal as it is rather than replacing vintage components or making modern modifications. There is a small green cap soldered to internal pot at some point and I don’t know anything about it.

The PCB and components are shown in the photos, so you can see exactly what you are buying. Sold in its present condition as a genuine vintage early-version Deluxe Electric Mistress.
