Schecter Demon-8 Electric Guitar Aged Black Satin

The Demon-8 is a compact 8-string instrument engineered for extended-range playing without excess bulk. Its thin 'C' neck profile and 28" scale deliver comfortable access across all frets while maintaining the extended low-end clarity that 8-string players demand. The aged black satin finish pairs understated aesthetics with practical durability.

Playability & Construction

Built on a basswood body with an arched top contour and finished in aged black satin, the Demon-8 uses a bolt-on design with aged crème binding for structural integrity and visual definition. The maple neck features carbon fiber reinforcement rods for stability, while the wenge fretboard supports 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 28" scale, offering extended range with defined articulation on a 16" radius. The Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and thin neck dimensions—0.787" at the 1st fret and 0.866" at the 12th—create a responsive platform for both standard and tapping techniques.

Tone & Electronics

The Demon-8 employs a pair of Schecter Diamond Active HB-105S pickups wired to a simple volume/tone/3-way switch configuration, delivering controlled tonal range without excess complexity. Active electronics require a 9-volt battery and yield consistent output across the instrument's extended frequency range. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge with string-through body design maximizes sustain and tuning stability while the black chrome hardware complements the aged aesthetic.
