Today at EGV we have a 1966 Gibson J200 with an ancient and creative headstock repair.
This J200 has been in my personal stash for the last couple years and plays great without issues. I purchased this from the original owners family in Cleveland where it wasn’t played much since the 1970’s. The original owner cracked the headstock when the guitar was only a few years old, glued it, and molded a piece of brass to fit the headstock area ensuring that the headstock will be stable forever.
While it was in long term storage prior to my ownership 2 cracks developed in the top that were glued and stabilized while in my possession, and haven’t posed any problems. The neck does not need reset, and the guitar plays without issue across the neck.
Original hardshell case included. Please ask any and all questions prior to sale.
