This 1982 Fender The Strat is a piece of CBS era history looking for a new home. Brought in as part of a private American guitar collection, it was built in Fullerton, CA during The Strat's short 1980 to 1983 production run. It features the smaller vintage style headstock with a matching painted face, gold plated hardware, and a two position rotary switch in place of the second tone control for extra pickup voicings.
The guitar retains its original gold hardware throughout, with the exception of an aftermarket bridge and locking nut.
There are a few spots with slight discoloration that are consistent with age, see photos for details.
