The Electro-Harmonix Hell Melter is an advanced high-gain distortion and boost pedal inspired by the cult-classic 1980s Boss HM-2 "chainsaw" distortion circuit.
Features:
- Control Layout: Features eight active knobs including Distortion, Master, High, Low, Mid, a dedicated sweepable Mid-Frequency control (350 Hz to 950 Hz), Dry Level (for blending clean signal), and an adjustable Noise Gate.
- Dual Modes: Normal Mode: Delivers classic, compressed chainsaw saturation. Burn Mode: Boosts internal voltage for higher headroom, less compression, and a sharper attack.
- Foot-switchable Boost: Includes a second independent footswitch to push gain and overall output volume further.
- Power: Runs via an included 9V power supply (does not run on batteries).
