Top spec Martin Modern Deluxe - a luxurious guitar for those not willing to make any compromises. In near-mint condition with just a few blemishes that aren't visible unless bouncing light onto the surface (as we have done in the close up photo to exaggerate them).

The Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe takes the company’s most iconic dreadnought and reimagines it for discerning modern players. Classic East Indian rosewood and spruce are paired with cutting-edge features like a VTS-treated top, carbon-fibre bridge plate and Liquid-metal bridge pins, delivering vintage-inspired depth and power with enhanced clarity, projection and playability.

Balancing heritage craftsmanship with subtle innovation, it offers the feel and sound of a well-loved, decades-old instrument straight out of the case. From its forward-shifted Adirondack X-bracing and natural protein glue construction to its comfortable Vintage Deluxe neck and EVO gold frets, this is a professional-grade acoustic that rewards every nuance of your playing, whether you are recording, on stage or at home.

Visually, the D-28 Modern Deluxe is just as impressive. European flamed maple binding, bold herringbone top trim and a 1933-style pearl script logo give it a refined, boutique aesthetic, while gold open-gear tuners and classic tortoise-pattern pickguard keep it unmistakably Martin. If you want the legendary D-28 voice with extra responsiveness, comfort and detail, this Modern Deluxe model is built to deliver.

The spruce top is treated with Martin’s Vintage Tone System, a proprietary torrefaction process that mimics the natural ageing of wood. Combined with Adirondack spruce forward-shifted, scalloped X-bracing, it produces a rich, open sound with quick response, strong fundamentals and complex overtones, giving you the character of a played-in instrument from day one.

A Vintage Deluxe neck profile with High-Performance Taper offers a slightly asymmetrical carve that sits naturally in the hand, supporting both thumb-over and classical-style grips. The 1 3/4 inch nut width and 2 1/8 inch width at the 12th fret provide ample room for intricate chord voicings and fingerstyle work, while the satin finish keeps the neck fast and comfortable over long sessions.

Under the hood, a lightweight carbon-fibre bridge plate and Liquidmetal bridge pins work together to maximise energy transfer from the strings to the top. This results in greater volume, longer sustain and improved note separation, so strummed chords stay articulate and single-note lines cut through with ease, even in a dense mix.

European flamed maple binding, a zig-zag back strip and bold herringbone top inlay give the D-28 Modern Deluxe a high-end, vintage-meets-modern aesthetic. EVO gold frets offer excellent durability and a smooth feel under the fingers, while gold open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs and an abalone-inlaid script headstock logo complete the elegant, upscale look.
