Incredibly rare 1987 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Gun Metal Blue Metallic, with original hardshell case. This is from my personal collection.

This is the original finish/color of the instrument, not a refinish. Gun Metal Blue is a documented original Fender color used on early American Standard Stratocasters of this period.

Please note: This particular metallic finish is extremely lighting-dependent. Depending on lighting, it can appear anything from dark blue/grey to blue-green/petrol, which is very hard to demonstrate with pictures as each digital camera captures each differently.

Measurements, weight and other specs:

-Weight 3,72 kg

-Pickups: original, measuring 6,11K (B), 5,99K (M) and 6,27K (N)

The guitar features a stacked tone pot for the middle and bridge (!) pickups.

-Nut width ~42 mm

-Modern C slim yet wide neck; 9,5’’ radius, medium jumbo frets

-alder body, maple neck

Condition:

-      Body, neck, fretboard and headstock are in great condition with minor traces of use (scratches, dings, lacquer fissures).

- The neck is straight, trussrod works. Frets are at 9/10 condition.

-      All original, maybe except for the locking tuner strap pins. They came with the guitar when I bought it.

- includes original hardshell case, but is missing all paperwork (not unusual for an almost 40 year old guitar)

-      Well set up, plays like butter; new 10 gauge strings and floating trem setup.

AFTER DELIVERY: After receiving the item, please inspect the package for obvious damages and make photos if there are any. After unpacking, check the item immediately for damages or other undocumented flaws. I accept a 14 days return and will pay for shipping if the item is in a different condition than described upon arrival. Please note that I will only take the item back entirely, but not grant any reduction of price and generally only accept returns if the item was unaltered after arrival.

CITES protection: all of the items I sell have been legally imported to the EU before January 1st 2017 and are registered with the authorities in Hamburg, Germany (if applicable).
