More info from effectsdatabase.com:
The Landgraff Mo-D Distortion, also referred to as the Landgraff Distortion Box, is a boutique high-gain distortion pedal hand-built by John Landgraff from 1999 until his passing in 2015. Each unit is point-to-point wired on socketed circuit boards, allowing Landgraff to personally voice every pedal for consistency and tonal quality. Following his passing, his wife Rose continued the tradition of hand assembly.
The Mo-D Distortion is recognized for its ability to cover a wide range of drive sounds, from thick overdrive to saturated distortion and even fuzz-like textures at higher gain settings. The circuit is equipped with a three-way clipping switch that changes the pedal's voicing. Depending on the setting, it can provide symmetrical clipping for smooth distortion, asymmetrical clipping for more bite and harmonic clarity, or bypass the clipping diodes entirely for use as a boost.
Every Landgraff pedal features a unique hand-painted finish, often created by Arlon Prince, Darren Johannson, or Frank Whetstine, making no two pedals visually identical. The Mo-D has become a sought-after collector's piece, known both for its dynamic amp-like response and its rarity.
