JBL 4312 Control Monitor - Vintage Pair early-80s - Walnut
Our users rate Reverb
These classic, original 4312 Control Monitors produce one of the most musical sounds I've heard from speakers. They're accurate but produce something much more natural and enjoyable than any modern monitor I've used.
This pair is in good condition sonically, but as you can see from the photos, they have some cosmetic issues. This doesn't affect functionality, but I've lowered the price accordingly.
The original 4312 model is exceedingly rare and sought-after. Whereas later iterations (like the 4312A or 4312M) show up often, I've only been able to find one other pair for sale online (for $2800 with $500 shipping from Japan).
They're incredibly heavy, so shipping isn't an option. But if you live within 50 miles of the Chicago area, I'd be happy to drop them off. Once the sale goes through, I'll clean and polish them, as well as apply DeoxIT to the crossover filters and connections.
