There are flame tops... and then there are flame tops that make you wonder whether Gibson accidentally grabbed the maple they were saving for somebody famous.

This 2025 Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is finished in Iced Tea Burst VOS, weighs an absolutely glorious 8.1 lbs, and has a figured maple top that refuses to behave itself. Tilt it five degrees and the flames move. Tilt it another five and they move again. Eventually you'll realize you've been standing there rotating a guitar for 20 minutes while accomplishing absolutely nothing.

Totally worth it.

Gibson built these to recreate the legendary 1960 Burst, including the lightweight one-piece mahogany body, hide-glue-fitted figured maple top, long-tenon mahogany neck, rosewood board, Custombuckers, reflector knobs and double-ring Klusons. 

And this particular neck deserves mentioning. Gibson calls the model a 60s SlimTaper, but this example measures .871" at the 1st fret and .946" at the 12th, giving it a very comfortable medium feel rather than something that feels like somebody accidentally sanded the neck until lunchtime.

Condition & What’s Included

The guitar was born on August 19th, 2025 and has never been owned by an end user. However, during its very brief stay at the original Gibson shop, somebody apparently decided this beautiful Les Paul needed one tiny contribution from the "Department of Clumsy”… Subsequently, there is a ding on the back edge (clearly photographed). It's purely cosmetic, and we're showing it up close because hiding things is for magicians and Craigslist. The remainder of the guitar is spectacular. Includes the original brown/pink Gibson Lifton Reissue hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, case candy, Historic Reissue hang tags as shown in the pics.

At 8.1 pounds, with that flame top, that Iced Tea Burst and a neck measuring .871"/.946", this is the sort of R0 that causes perfectly rational guitar players to start explaining to their spouses why owning another Les Paul is technically a diversification strategy.

And yes, there's that little spot on the back edge.

Return Policy- 

We do accept returns up to 14 days from the point of the initial sale, which means that the guitar must be back in our possession within this 14 day period. However, please be aware of the following conditions: If for any reason you wish to return the guitar, just call or email me directly, within 24 hours of your receiving the item, and let me know that you want to return it. Once we receive the guitar back, in the same condition, you will receive a refund, less a $50 restock fee.
