Paul Reed Smith Wood Library Custom 24 Stoptail Limited Edition Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst (1 of 100)
Serial Number: 0429737
Weight: 8.5 lbs.

The Paul Reed Smith Wood Library Custom 24 Stoptail Limited Edition in Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst (Serial #0429737) swaps the Custom 24's signature tremolo for a PRS Wraparound Stoptail, a highly sought after spec usually reserved for the Private Stock. This Custom 24 Stoptail is part of a 500-piece run split evenly across five finishes, only 100 were built in Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst. The strings anchor directly to the body, giving you a solid, sustaining feel and rock-steady tuning with no trem to set up or maintain. The body is black limba instead of the standard mahogany. Black limba is an African tonewood prized for its dark streaked grain and warm, open voice, and it sits under a flame maple 10 Top. The whole body is finished in high-gloss nitro, and the Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst color is framed by scraped binding that shows off the natural maple edge. It weighs in at 8.5 lb.

The neck is flame maple instead of the standard mahogany. It's carved to PRS's Pattern Thin profile (53/64" at the 1/2 fret, 57/64" at the 12 1/2 fret) and finished in high-gloss nitro, stained Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst to match the top. A ziricote fretboard carries abalone birds outlined in white mother of pearl, with a 10" radius, 24 PRS frets, a 25" scale, and a 1 11/16" PRS nut. The set-neck joint gives you a resonant, direct connection between neck and body, and the stoptail carries that through to the strings. Up top, a ziricote headstock veneer holds the inlaid Paul Reed Smith logo and a "Custom" truss rod cover. PRS Phase III locking tuners with black wing buttons round out the nickel/chrome hardware.

Electronics are a pair of PRS DMO pickups, the newest pickup design from PRS and now standard across the Custom 24 platform. Controls are volume and tone with a 5-way blade pickup selector. From clean rhythm to saturated lead work, the Custom 24 covers a lot of ground. Whether you're a rock/metal player who wants a fixed bridge, or a PRS collector chasing Wood Library specs, this Custom 24 Stoptail delivers. (Serial #0429737, 1 of 100 in Charcoal Tri-Color Sunburst) It ships in a PRS ATA hardshell case. Order today from Brian's Guitars, your authorized PRS dealer.
