Danny Gatton was one of the most influential guitarists of his time. Gatton’s primary instrument was a 1952 Telecaster that he modified over the years (noiseless pickups, 9.5" fretboard radius, pickguard). This guitar served as the basis for the signature model that the Fender Custom Shop dedicated to the guitarist, who passed away in 1994. Distinctive side fretboard markers and a 22-fret fingerboard are among the other notable features of this Telecaster.
The model shown here features a very substantial neck made of beautifully flamed maple. The sound is assertive and powerful, yet remains free of unwanted noise thanks to the brilliant Joe Barden pickups.
