Finished in 2-Color Sunburst, this round-neck resonator features a laminated Mahogany body with a vintage-style semi-gloss finish, delivering the distinctive projection and swampy tonal character that makes resonator guitars such a compelling choice for blues, roots, country and slide playing.

At the heart of the G9240 is a Gretsch Ampli-Sonic biscuit resonator cone. Hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99-percent pure aluminium, the cone is designed to produce the powerful projection and distinctive metallic voice expected from a quality resonator. The biscuit-style construction is paired with a hard Maple biscuit and Ebony/Maple saddle, providing a solid platform for the strings and helping to deliver the guitar's characteristic attack and sustain.

The Mahogany neck features a comfortable Medium "V" profile and a 15.75" fingerboard radius, with a Padauk fingerboard fitted with 19 medium-jumbo frets. A 1.75" Bone nut provides generous string spacing, making the G9240 particularly well suited to fingerstyle playing and slide techniques. The 25" scale length offers a familiar feel while retaining the punch and response expected from a dedicated resonator.

The vintage-inspired appointments continue throughout the instrument, including a 1930s Gretsch 3x3 headstock, Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuning machines, nickel-plated hardware and a Weathered Trapeze Tailpiece. The Weathered Poinsettia cone cover adds another distinctive visual detail, complementing the 2-Color Sunburst finish and reinforcing the G9240's roots-oriented aesthetic.
