This is a beautiful Fender Jaguar JG-66B Made in Japan, finished in classic 3-Tone Sunburst and in very good condition.

The guitar has the desirable bound rosewood fretboard with block inlays, two Jaguar single-coil pickups, the original Jaguar switching and rhythm/lead circuits, and the classic floating tremolo system with lock.

The neck heel is stamped JG-66B, and the guitar has the original Made in Japan T-series serial number T066428, dating it to around 2004.

One particularly nice feature is the original Fender-stamped string mute, which is still fitted to the guitar. These are not something you see on every Japanese Jaguar, so it’s great to have the original one still with the guitar.

The frets show some light wear consistent with use, but are in very good condition overall. The guitar plays superbly with a good action and has that unmistakable Jaguar feel and sound.

The electrics have been checked and work correctly, with no obvious drop-outs or crackles. The guitar sounds fantastic, from the bright, jangly lead circuit through to the warmer rhythm circuit.

Cosmetically, the guitar is in very good condition. There no major dings, just signs of use commensurate with a guitar of this age, including a scuff to the black edge of the body. I believe this was caused while placing the guitar on a stand. It’s purely cosmetic and does not affect the guitar’s playability or structural integrity. I’ve included a close-up photograph for complete transparency.

The guitar weighs in at 3.71kg (8lb 3oz).

The guitar comes with a very clean, virtually unused tweed-style hard case, which provides excellent protection for the instrument.

This is a lovely example of a Japanese Fender Jaguar, with the JG-66B block-and-bound neck, original mute and original Jaguar hardware all making this a particularly nice specification.

The guitar will be well packaged and posted on a fully tracked service.
