This is an Ibanez RG470DX in Tokyo Midnight with Edge Zero II vibrato bridge onboard, upgraded with a couple of widely acknowledged DiMarzio pickups chosen specifically to turn it into a much more dangerous hard-rock / metal / shred guitar. I decided to follow the stock white pickup color scheme to maintain the noir look. The guitar's been played, loved, and taken care of therefore has very minor signs that aren't visible at a normal distance, no easily noticeable scratches or dents. Frets are 95% intact

• Bridge: DiMarzio Super Distortion - The classic hot-rodded humbucker. Thick, powerful and aggressive with plenty of output for saturated rhythm tones, harmonics and big 80s-style leads.

• Middle: DiMarzio Area 67 - A much more refined middle position than the original pickup, with clear Strat-style character while remaining hum-canceling. It gives the guitar genuinely useful cleaner and lower-gain sounds instead of making the middle pickup an afterthought.

• Neck: Ibanez Quantum (stock - mentioned for transparency) - It is articulate and responsive, with enough clarity to keep fast runs and high-gain lead playing defined.

Together, the set gives this RG a great range from clean and glassy to classic hard rock, glam, shred and high-gain metal — while retaining the unmistakable character of a classic DiMarzio-equipped superstrat.

The Team J.Craft case is an especially cool addition. These are the cases normally associated with Japanese Prestige-era Ibanez guitars, and it makes the whole package feel considerably more special than the typical RG470DX sold with no case or a basic gig bag.

The Tokyo Midnight finish is particularly striking in person and fits the classic RG aesthetic perfectly: aggressive without being over-the-top, with the sharktooth look and unmistakable Ibanez superstrat silhouette.

This would be an especially good fit for someone into 80s/90s hard rock, classic metal, shred, melodic metal, instrumental rock, or anyone who simply wants an RG with a much more characterful pickup set than the factory configuration.
