The Paiste Signature Dark Energy Crash Mark I is an 18" crash cymbal made from proprietary Signature Bronze for drum set players, studio musicians, and orchestral percussionists. Handcrafted in Switzerland, this model combines a raw, unlathed dark bell with a finely lathed and hand-hammered outer bow. It provides an immediate, lively response that handles mallet rolls as smoothly as stick strikes.

Acoustically, it delivers a dark body, wide frequency range, rich complex mix, and brilliant highs. Light strokes yield a soft, silky feel, while heavier hits project with strong attack, controllable spread, and a long, layered fade. This used unit weighs exactly 1,500 grams and is in good to very good condition.  There is one small ding/deformation on the edge (pictures from both the top and bottom of the cymbal), otherwise the cymbal shows stick marks and fingerprints from normal use.
