These are the legendary Scottish isobaric design — two woofers per cabinet working together in a sealed chamber, which is how a box this size makes bass this deep. Retailed around $3,000 a pair when originally sold. Properly powered they have real drive and timing. Sound great and outstanding on soul, R&B, reggae and anything rhythmic. I have been enjoying these for a while but not ideal for my space.
Condition:
• One midrange driver was replaced before I owned them — doesn't match the others visually, but I hear no imbalance between channels
• Both front tweeter domes have small dents (finger pressure, pre-existing). No effect I can hear
• Cabinets solid, normal wear for their age
• Original crossovers, never recapped
• Linn XLR-type terminals — adapters included
These are 4 ohms and about 85dB. VERY heavy. Bring a friend and an SUV or truck with the seats down. Cash only.
