For sale is my Hafler XL-600 Excelinear stereo power amplifier, one of Hafler’s most powerful and highly regarded high-current MOSFET amplifiers.

The XL-600 was designed as a very high-power, wide-bandwidth amplifier capable of driving demanding loudspeaker loads while maintaining excellent control, low distortion, and substantial dynamic headroom. Hafler used 16 lateral MOSFET output devices along with its Excelinear near-zero-phase-shift circuitry. My amplifier is all original and unmodified and has been carefully owned and maintained. I purchased this XL-600 new around 1990 and have owned it ever since. I am selling it as part of a reduction of my longtime audio and studio equipment, not because of any problem with the amplifier.

This amplifier would be especially well suited to someone looking for a powerful vintage Hafler amplifier for large, inefficient, or difficult-to-drive loudspeakers.

I also have the matching Hafler IRIS preamplifier available separately and would consider selling the pair together.

Local pickup is preferred because of the amplifier’s size and weight. A serious buyer is welcome to inspect and audition it.
