DESCRIPTION

Beautiful 2016 Korean-made Gretsch G5422TG Electromatic hollow-body in Walnut Stain with gold hardware and Bigsby vibrato. This is a classic Gretsch configuration, combining a full hollow-body design with a pair of Black Top Filter'Tron pickups for that unmistakable Gretsch combination of clarity, snap, and punch.

The G5422TG features a 5-ply maple hollow body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and a comfortable 24.6" scale length. The vintage-inspired styling is completed by the gold plexi pickguard, pearloid thumbnail inlays, bound body and headstock, and Bigsby B60 vibrato.

The two Black Top Filter'Tron pickups deliver plenty of Gretsch character—clear and articulate in the bridge position, warm and full at the neck, and especially versatile with both pickups engaged.

This particular guitar is a 2016 Korean-made example in Walnut Stain, a finish that looks especially sharp with the gold hardware. Contemporary 2016 examples are documented with rosewood fingerboards, U-shaped maple necks, Black Top Filter'Tron pickups, and 5-ply maple bodies. CChicago Music Exchange+1
