PRS Wood Library Special Artist Top Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar - Slate Blue (Natural Black Korina Back) | No Limit Guitar Co, Idaho Falls

This PRS Special Semi-Hollow Wood Library takes one of PRS's most versatile platforms and elevates it with woods and appointments simply not found on a standard production model. Select PRS dealers are given the opportunity to curate limited Wood Library runs using premium and exotic tonewoods, custom finishes, and upgraded appointments outside the regular Core lineup, and this one is particularly special, pairing a Black Korina back with a one-piece East Indian rosewood neck, Ziricote fretboard, and matching headstock veneer. This guitar is built for collectors and serious players who want exotic tonewoods and Wood Library exclusivity in a genuinely versatile semi-hollow platform.

Product Overview

At the center of it all is a spectacular Flame Maple Artist Grade top. Artist Grade sits above PRS's standard figured maple and represents some of the finest tops available without stepping all the way up to Private Stock. Finished in custom Slate Blue, the figuring has incredible depth and movement, while Smoked Black hardware gives the entire guitar a sleek, modern edge. The exotic woods aren't purely cosmetic either: the Black Korina body, solid rosewood neck, Ziricote board, and semi-hollow construction with a single F-hole combine for a lively, resonant instrument with plenty of character. Tonally, the McCarty III TCI / Narrowfield / McCarty III TCI pickup configuration gives the Special an enormous range, with a 5-way blade switch and dual coil-tap mini-toggles taking it from full, articulate humbucker tones to clear, open single-coil-inspired sounds.

Ideal For

Guitarists searching for a semi-hollow guitar with McCarty III and Narrowfield pickup versatility. Musicians who need coil-tap switching for both humbucker and single-coil tones. Buyers who appreciate Black Korina, East Indian rosewood, and Ziricote in a single build.
