From The Web:

With its instantly recognizable body shape and top-shelf rock ’n’ roll sound, the SG has found its place in the pantheon of iconic electric guitars. The Epiphone SG Standard takes all the qualities that made the SG a classic and packs them into a premium powerhouse for virtually every player to enjoy. The Epiphone SG Standard’s inimitable tone begins with a solid mahogany body and matching neck that anchor your tones in a balanced, sonorous, and harmonic-rich foundation. Up top, the laurel fingerboard supplies clarity, punch, and a crystalline veneer that lets your sound shimmer with character and depth. Dual ProBucker pickups deliver a deluge of dynamic range, high-octane heft, and scorching sonics that effortlessly hold their own in multitudes of tone-crafting configurations, from transparent cleans and smoldering fuzz to searing solos and heavy-metal haymakers. Suffice it to say: gigging guitarists are enamored by the Epiphone SG Standard’s unwavering reliability and rock-solid sound, blending ferocity and flexibility into an iconic no-holds-barred powerhouse that has no problem punching well above its weight!

Premium playability and formidable foundations

The Epiphone SG Standard’s all-mahogany body has a rich and warm resonance with incredible depth, which belies the comfortable weight of the SG. From there, the SlimTaper C mahogany neck extends the sonic dimensions of this dual-horned axe, marrying prismatic tones with ultra-accommodating playability that makes power, precision, and satisfying tactility easily accessible to guitarists of nearly any playing style. A laurel fingerboard completes the SG Standard’s tonewood dyad, spicing up the mix with brilliant highs and vibrant overtones.

Pro-grade hardware and electronics

Stocked with high-quality electronics and hardware, the Epiphone SG Standard is built for performance. A powerful, pliable pair of ProBucker pickups provide you with an Alnico II–fueled terrain of tone-shaping tools, capable of sonics that span warm, jazzy, clean, crushing, growling, and galvanizing styles. Myriad shades of rock ’n’ roll may be where the SG Standard thrives, but its multidimensional roots have made it a mainstay among musicians far beyond the realms of rock. A stopbar tailpiece, Tune-o-matic bridge, and Epiphone Deluxe Vintage Tuners deliver excellent tuning stability, and premium CTS electronics punctuate the brilliant character of this iconic axe.
