Meinl 18" Byzance Dual Trash China - 1062g - Excellent Condition

The Meinl 18" Byzance Dual Trash China is a professional effects cymbal that combines the dark, earthy complexity of the Byzance Dual series with the explosive response and aggressive texture of a trash china.

Its distinctive combination of raw and lathed surfaces gives the cymbal a complex voice with a dry, dark foundation and a more open, shimmering response around the outer portion. The result is an effects cymbal that sounds aggressive and trashy when needed while still retaining the warmth and musical complexity associated with the Byzance family.

At only 1062 grams, this 18" example is exceptionally responsive. It opens immediately under the stick, produces a fast burst of complex wash, and gets out of the way quickly enough to work for repeated accents without overwhelming the mix.

Used Cymbal / Buyer Satisfaction Note

This is a used cymbal and may show normal cosmetic signs of use, including stick marks, fingerprints, patina, oxidation, logo wear, or other finish imperfections depending on the cymbal. I do my best to carefully inspect, photograph, and describe each cymbal as accurately and honestly as possible.

That said, condition can be somewhat subjective, especially with used cymbals. For that reason, I offer a 7-day return policy. If the cymbal arrives and does not meet your expectations, please contact me right away before leaving feedback so I have the opportunity to make it right.

My goal is simple: accurate descriptions, no surprises, and 100% buyer satisfaction.

Sonic Splice Notes

This 18" Byzance Dual Trash China has the kind of fast, explosive response you want from an effects cymbal, but it still retains a distinctly musical character.

At only 1062 grams, it opens almost instantly. The attack is trashy and aggressive, followed by a dark, complex wash that decays quickly enough to keep accents defined rather than turning into an uncontrolled wall of sound.

What I like about the Dual series is that the raw and lathed sections give the cymbal more tonal texture than a conventional china. There is plenty of bite, but underneath it is an earthy, darker character that helps it blend naturally with other Byzance cymbals.

This would work extremely well for rock, worship, fusion, alternative, progressive music, or any setup that needs an explosive effects voice without becoming overly harsh or metallic.

This particular example is also in excellent condition with smooth edges and no structural concerns.
