About this listing
Dramatically downsizing to help fund farm operations. Listing more than 40 pieces in the coming days. Please check my other listings.I have always had a soft spot for oddities and unique guitar shapes. While I was never a huge fan of the original 1970s Starcasters, I found myself needing a true Jazzmaster for my collection. When I saw that Fender Japan created this extremely limited Starmaster model—mashing up the two guitars with this incredibly cool two-tone paint job—I just thought it was total badness. I imported it directly from the UK and am the original owner.Visually, it is an absolute standout. But mechanically, this thing screams Jazzmaster. From the vintage-style single-coil pickups and the dual-circuit electronics to the floating tremolo system, it delivers that unmistakable offset tone and vibe. It gives you the best of both worlds: a completely unique, head-turning aesthetic package on the outside, and all the chimey, resonant Jazzmaster goodness you could ask for on the inside. Factor in the semi-hollow Alder construction and the highly playable Modern "C" neck with a satin finish, and it becomes an incredibly inspiring instrument to play.I am only letting this go as part of a broader sell-off to recoup funds for our farm. It has lived strictly in my smoke-free home studio, remains in dead mint condition, and includes the original Fender-branded softcase. If you want a standard offset, there are plenty out there, but this is a rare opportunity to grab a truly unique factory hybrid that will instantly stand out in any collection.Specifications:Body: Alder offset body featuring a resonant semi-hollow construction.Finish: High-gloss Two-Tone Black and Silver.Neck: Maple with a comfortable Modern "C" profile and a fast satin finish on the back.Fretboard: Rosewood with a 9.5" radius, 22 Medium Jumbo frets, and white dot inlays.Headstock: 1970s Starcaster shape color-matched perfectly to the body's two-tone finish. Electronics: Two Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups wired to traditional Lead and Rhythm circuits.Hardware: 6-saddle vintage-style adjustable bridge with a floating tremolo tailpiece and vintage-style tuners.Let me know if you have any questions. As I mentioned above doing serious liquidation to help support the horse sanctuary so will be listing a lot in the upcoming days.re: RETURNSI have noticed in recent years here and on other sites there seems to be an increase of buyers that purchase an item, practically invent some sort of problem or issue, and then hold the seller's feedback ransom in order to get a few bucks back for free. That is why I am making it perfectly clear in my listings that I do not accept returns. Please ask all questions up front (additional condition details, request more pictures, etc.). However, if you check my feedback both here and on a popular auction site ( jmarsh45 ) you will see that I have a perfect 100% feedback rating of over 1,500 across both platforms over the past 20+ years. I take my feedback and my gear very seriously even though I am a hobbyist. So please know that if there is a genuine problem, I am sure we can work something out. Just reach out before or after with any questions or issues.
