HELIOS RAY radiates with LA’s tripped-out abstract beats and the loose, soulful vibe of London’s innovative broken beat scene, representing the ambient, glitchy, and bit-crushed sound of modern, forward-thinking productions. Drawing influence from the leftfield, future-leaning side of hip-hop, nu jazz, and broken beat, HELIOS RAY features a stunning array of crunchy analog drums and Latin percussion, jazz guitar, vintage Rhodes licks, and custom MASSIVE presets.

COSMIC VIBRATIONS

HELIOS RAY shines with dirty, off-kilter hip-hop samples boasting vinyl kicks, finger snaps, vocals, crackles, and record stops. Brazilian and Latin percussion such as shakers, bongos, and congas mix with stunning, warm basses, while the analog sound of classic drums provides a gritty bite of hardware. The jazz guitar was recorded at LA's Bell Sound, and MASSIVE presets provide modulated filtered and funky saw-tooth basses, ambient pads, skewed poly-synth leads, and eclectic sound effects.
