Standard uninstalled fret wire suffers from random factory crown height variations of several thousandths of an inch. Traditional 3-roller crank benders copy these flaws because they fail to bend a true, clean radius between the rollers—instead these rollers often twist the wire and create flat spots because the rollers do not actually form the intended radius. - ELIMINATE NEW FRET LEVELING AND RE-CROWNING: Because the FretZipper forms a perfectly symmetrical radius across the entire wire without deforming the fret, completely protects the structural integrity of the crown and tang. NOTE: Each radius is one inch sharper than labelled, example 12" is 11", this one inch sharper radius prevents frets from springing up out of the fret slot.
