Friedman BE-100 (2014) – Excellent Condition – Nearly New Tubes
For sale is my Friedman BE-100 from 2014.
Unlike the current models, this early version is still 100% PTP hand-wired. It is completely original and has not been modified or messed with in any way.
The amplifier is in excellent condition, both technically and cosmetically. No scratches, dents, or other issues. It has only been used privately as a hobby amp and has always been treated with great care.
The preamp tubes were replaced in August 2025 and the power tubes in April 2026. All tubes have only seen a few hours of use, and the bias was professionally set by a specialist workshop.
The tubes alone cost over €300, not including the cost of installation and biasing.
The BE-100 is widely regarded as one of the great boutique amps for classic British rock tones – from open, dynamic crunch to singing high gain, with exceptional clarity and responsiveness. The early 2014 version of the BE-100 in particular has an excellent reputation among many Friedman enthusiasts.
And despite being a 100-watt amp, it sounds fantastic even at bedroom volume – so no worries there!
Included in the sale:
- Friedman BE-100 head
- Original footswitch
- Power cable
The amp can be tested in Neu-Ulm by appointment.
No trades, as I’m looking to reduce the number of amps I own.
If you’d like to hear what it sounds like, here is the official video manual for the first 2014 series – the same version with the rectangular indicator light:
