A masterpiece of acoustic engineering, this custom McPherson CMG 4.0 (#2774) pairs a California Redwood soundboard with striking Cocobolo back and sides. Weighing 6 lbs 2 oz, its 4.0" body thickness, cantilevered sapele neck with carbon truss rod, and offset soundhole allow the top to vibrate with uninhibited, lush resonance and warmth. Bound in flamed koa, the cocobolo fingerboard features a 1-7/8" bone nut, McPherson Wave inlays, and Stew Mac Gold frets over a 25.5" scale. Equipped with an L.R. Baggs HiFi Duet system, Waverly gold tuners, and custom spruce/rosewood/spruce bracing, this heirloom instrument ships in an Ameritage custom hardshell case.
