Excellent condition Silvertone 1474 amplifier. True point to point wiring. Jack White apparently has one of these. This one has been gone through and fully recapped. The original green Sangamo brand caps were leaky and had to go. Replaced with 1kV NOS Russian PIO caps. Some of the plate resistors were replaced as well. Brand new matched JJ 5881 power tubes and some good vintage American made preamp tubes (12AX7s and 6CG7s). High quality 3 prong cord installed and death cap removed. Working and sounding 100%. With the original Jensen C12Q speakers (parallel inductors still in place). Even the original cardboard tube "reverb" works, although if you are expecting Fender spring reverb tones you will be sorely disappointed. This amp is essentially a 1483 bass amp driving two 6L6 P-P power amplifiers each powering one of the two 12" speakers. Really really loud amplifier with some excellent overdriven sounds at ear bleeding volume. In great shape for its age considering the cabinet is made of compressed paper.
Because of the weight this is a local pickup within 50 miles of the Portland Metro area only.
