This Oktava MK-319 large-diaphragm condenser microphone has been professionally modified by OktavaMod, includes the Floating Dome Mod and Premium Electronics Upgrade. It is in excellent condition, has been very well cared for, and has been tested and confirmed to be fully functional and working properly.

Most importantly, this is not an ordinary stock MK-319. The microphone includes its original OktavaMod documentation, which identifies the microphone and certifies that it was personally modified and upgraded by Michael Joly of OktavaMod. The documentation accompanies the microphone and is included in the sale.

What Makes This MK-319 Special?

The Russian-made Oktava MK-319 developed a strong following among recording engineers for its large-diaphragm capsule and warm sound. This microphone takes that platform further through the OktavaMod modifications performed by Michael Joly, whose work focused on extracting greater performance from select Oktava microphones.

According to the included OktavaMod documentation, the Premium Electronics Upgrade replaces the stock circuit-board components with higher-performance, lower-noise parts. The documentation also describes careful testing and component selection performed as part of the modification process.

Combined with the Floating Dome Mod, these upgrades distinguish this microphone from an unmodified MK-319

The MK-319 is well suited to a broad range of studio applications, including vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar cabinets, percussion, strings, voice-over and other acoustic sources. Its onboard switches provide additional flexibility for different recording situations.
