This is a Gibson A-5G "Master Model" mandolin, built at Gibson's Bozeman, Montana acoustic shop. The interior label shows it was tested, tuned, and approved on March 4, 1996, with a hand signature, so it is a 1996 instrument. Gibson's mandolin production in Bozeman ended around 1997, so it comes from the last years of that shop. It has the A-style body, f-holes, sunburst finish, ebony fingerboard, pearl tuner buttons, and a case. The bridge needs to be replaced. It cracked.
