This Polytone 1980s Taurus Elite 3-way Amplifier in black is in very good condition.  This amp is built like a tank and could serve as a PA system for a small group, a keyboard amp, a jazz guitar amp or acoustic guitar amp.  Great for solo or duet gigs.  The output is big and full!

The Taurus Elite is Polytone's large-format, full-range combo format, running 165 watts through a three-way speaker system: a 15" Eminence woofer, a pair of 8" Eminence mids, and a pair of Motorola 3" horn tweeters. That combination was designed to cover the full frequency range cleanly and at volume — the kind of setup favored by working jazz guitarists who needed a loud, clear, hi-fi sound without a separate PA. At 86 pounds on casters, this was a serious gigging amp.

There are no repairs or modifications anywhere on this amp — cabinet, baffle, chassis, and all speakers are original. Two of the knobs are missing their indicator faceplates, which is worth noting, but the knobs themselves are present and original. The covering is the original black vinyl and remains intact. Cabinet and baffle are both in very good shape with no noted repairs. The grille is in excellent condition. No reverb, tremolo, or onboard effects — the Taurus Elite was built as a clean, transparent platform. Power cable is hard-wired. No detectable odor.

Casters are included. No case, cover, pedal, or documentation.
