1962 Martin D-28 w/ Original case
Here we have 1962 D-28 in clean, all-original condition. Sitka spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard.
No cracks anywhere on the top, back, or sides. Original finish throughout, with the light wear and a few small dings you'd expect from a guitar of this age — nothing structural, and nothing that has been touched up. Some light crazing and minor scratching on the back, plus the usual dings and nicks from a guitar that's been played. Strap button has been added to heel cap. Replaced frets and new bridgepins. Original Ebony Bridge still intact. Bridge plate still in good condition with normal wear from string ball ends. Original tuners in excellent working condition. Original case in very nice condition.
The action is low and comfortable and it plays effortlessly. Tone is clear and focused with the projection and presence a good postwar Brazilian dreadnought is supposed to have. Ships professionally packed
