Side Show Drums uses vintage suitcases and a combination of new and used drum hardware to build one of a kind, custom suitcase drums. Each item they build is a combination of suitcase, parts, and pieces brought together to make a truly unique instrument for you to enjoy. The "Runner Up" is built around a vintage Samsonite suitcase with exterior dimensions of approximately 21 1/2" x 18" x 8 1/2".

The interior of the suitcase has been re-lined to help protect whatever additional hardware you store inside.

The bass pedal mount has been attached permanently to the bottom of the case and features a rubber top to help secure your pedal.

A 3" rubber port has been added to the front of the case to add some resonance as well as giving you the option of using a microphone.

A pair of bass drum spurs has been added to the face of the suitcase to provide some additional stability.

All the latches on the case still function properly but there is no key.

We've played around with this quite a bit, and with different bass beaters, you can get a wide variety of sounds out of it.
