Takamine GY93 NAT Acoustic Guitar

The GY93-NAT is a compact parlor-sized acoustic built for players who value ergonomic comfort and articulate tone in a instrument that doesn't demand a full-sized footprint. Its efficient body design delivers surprising depth and resonance, while smooth mahogany construction invites precise fingerwork across both delicate passages and driving chord work. This natural-finished instrument produces warm, balanced tone suited equally to intimate fingerstyle arrangements or fuller strumming contexts.

Construction & Materials

The GY93-NAT pairs a solid spruce top with laminated black walnut and maple back and sides—a combination that achieves balanced tonal projection characteristic of the parlor body format. The mahogany neck and laurel fingerboard with 12" radius provide a comfortable, responsive playing surface, while maple binding on body and neck adds structural integrity and visual definition to the natural finish.

Playability & Hardware

A 24.5" scale length and 1-11/16" nut width create a player-friendly setup well-suited to fingerstyle work and standard chord voicings without compromise. Gold die-cast tuners with black buttons ensure reliable tuning stability, while the split-saddle bridge design with synthetic bone nut and saddle optimizes intonation and sustain across the fingerboard.
