Rare 2003 Gibson Les Paul Special Junior (that's the name of the series) in a faded brown/walnut thin nitrocellulose finish that changed through time.
This is a players' guitar, not a collection guitar: it shows heavy signs of relic and ding-dongs acquired through years and years of rehearsals, concerts and travels. It has no functional damage and is completely functional, ready to rock.
One-piece mahogany body (one piece, not three or two!), mahogany neck, very dark rosewood fretboard, straight as an arrow. Original Gibson P90s (not P100s). The neck profile is pretty chunky and meaty, like a 50's profile – not a 60's slim taper. Frets show somewhere some very slight dent, but for me playable for years to come (please see photos). Weight 4kg.
Not original parts:
• Tuning pegs replaced with Gibson white tuners (originally silver)
• Gotoh bridge with studs in cosmic black finish
• ABM Stoptailpiece with studs in nickel finish
Original parts are not available, but easily to find on the used market. The left Tailpiece stud looks pretty worn and mistreated (see photos), so I add to the purchase a set of the additional brand-new studs if you can't stand the look of it.
Generic but solid hard case included. International buyers please contact me for shipping quotes.
