Fernandes Stratocaster ST-80GM Gary Moore Model 1984 – Rare Made in Japan

For sale is an extremely rare Fernandes ST-80GM Gary Moore Model, made in Japan during the golden era of Fernandes production.

The ST-80GM was an official Gary Moore signature/artist model and appears in the original 1983, 1984 and 1985 Fernandes catalogs. It is seldom seen on the used market today.

This example features the distinctive configuration shown in the period Fernandes catalog:

Black Strat-style body

1-pc maple neck

Brass nut

21 frets (excellent condition, vintage size)

White pickguard

HH humbucker configuration, original pickups

Black neck humbucker

Zebra/cream bridge humbucker

3-way pickup selector

1 Volume / 2 Tone

Tremolo is upgraded with Gotoh GE101, 2 tuners were changed.

The guitar has extensive finish wear and a heavily played/relic appearance, as clearly shown in the photographs. Please study all photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.

The original 1984 Fernandes catalog lists the Gary Moore Model ST-80GM at ¥80,000, placing it among Fernandes' higher-grade artist models of the period.

What makes this model particularly interesting is its unusual Gary Moore-inspired specification. The combination of a black Strat-style body, maple fingerboard and dual humbuckers gives it a very distinctive early-'80s look and feel.

These ST-80GM models isvery difficult to find today.

A great opportunity for a collector of vintage Japanese guitars, Fernandes/Burny instruments, 1980s MIJ artist models or Gary Moore memorabilia.
