I am a huge Evans fan and have had many Evans tape echo machines. I love the Nova 400 and the EE series of Evans but this is the cream of the crop!
It has tons of features, twin pinch rollers, 6 tape heads, a massive reverb tank, lots of variation in impedance and output, "total tone" selectors. The echo and repeat mode selector buttons can be used in any combination allowing endless sound variation.

The sound on sound is amazing. You can choose between single or plural "sound on sound" as indicated by the red or green light. This allows you to record a loop that will play over and over indefinitely, you can then add to that loop with a single sound or with any combination of effects. You can then play on top of that loop without recording on the loop, or punch in to record with our without echo effect. You can change the echo effect on each punch in or on whole the loop by using the mode selector switches, add or remove the reverb from the loop etc.  It still blows my mind. Lots of other unique features shown in the demo.

Overall it is in really nice condition. I cleaned the heads, sprayed the pots and switches, cleaned the pinch wheels, waxed the plexiglass, put on a new tape etc.  It comes with a spare tape and a simple cleaning kit. It works and sounds good. (SEE DEMO ON I G) -however, Tape head one stopped working while I was testing it. Occassionally on start up the VU meter pegs, a constant electronic noise is emitted and it needs to be restarted. There is a slight crackling present when input level is pushed. It sat a long time before I got it and it sounds better all the time, but I am selling it as is - AS DESCRIBED needing work. No claims or returns on this item. It is original and unmolested inside but needs work to be fully functional. Selling it as described, needs work. See demo to understand the current state.

One scuff on the bottom of the tolex between the feet. The original Evans cover has a few tears near the handle. Its designed for 100 or 117V.

Tape head one stopped working while I was testing it. Slight cut out at tape splice. Occassionally on start up the VU meter pegs and it needs to be restarted or needs a pause and restarted. There is a slight crackling present when input level is pushed. It sat a long time before I got it and it sounds better all the time, but I am selling it as is - AS DESCRIBED needing work. No returns on this item. It is original and unmolested inside but needs work to be fully functional. My guess is it is in need of some fresh capacitors. Please do not buy this unless you have knowledge of vintage tape echo machines or have a good tech you trust. Sold as described-Needs work, no claims, no returns.
