1949 Gibson L7-CE with OHSC. The pickguard has been replaced with a replica made due to the nature of the original outgassing overtime, which is a common occurrence with the material of this vintage. It will come with the original. The pickups are original and have been rewound, along with a 3 way switch for neck, middle, bridge and one volume pot.
The guitar neck was likely factory oversprayed later in its life at some point, but the body appears to be the original finish which shows its crazing and wear.
The guitar works great and sounds very cool- like the late 40’s era. I had tapewounds on the guitar when these photos were taken but have since changed them.
This guitar is sold AS-IS, NO RETURNS as I do not want to go through the hassle. It will be safely packed before shipping. If you have any questions, please ask before buying so you are happy with your purchase. There is a video of me playing this guitar for you to hear what it sounds like.
